GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic special educational needs (SEN) Teacher with a specialism in Behaviour to join a dynamic school in Christchurch . About the Role:
As an SEN Teacher with a behaviour specialism , you will play a crucial role in supporting students with behavioural needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to create and implement individualised education plans tailored to each student's needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive and inclusive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities of SEN Teacher - Behaviour Specialism:
Develop and implement individualised education plans for students with behavioural needs, assessing each student's unique requirements and setting specific learning goals.
Provide one-on-one and small group instruction tailored to students' needs, ensuring they receive the attention and support necessary to succeed.
Monitor and assess student progress , adapting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure that each student is progressing towards their goals.
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each student's education and well-being.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.
Use a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate students, catering to different learning styles and preferences.
Requirements of SEN Teacher - Behaviour Specialism:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Prior experience in teaching or supporting students with behavioural needs is essential.
Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to establish and maintain strong, supportive relationships with all members of the school community.
Deep commitment to helping students with SEN , exhibiting patience and empathy in interactions.
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN education (desirable but not essential).
To work with GSL Education as an SEN Teacher , you will need:
Right to work in the UK.
Up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
