What You'll Do: Asphalt Application & Compaction: Apply and compact asphalt for various roadwork projects, ensuring consistent application techniques to achieve optimal coverage and durability.Surface Quality Control: Ensure smooth and even surfaces by following project specifications and quality standards, constantly checking for imperfections and making necessary adjustments.Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate a range of asphalt paving and compaction equipment, such as pavers, rollers, and compactors, while adhering to all safety regulations.Equipment Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
This includes refueling, checking oil levels, and monitoring mechanical components.Material Management: Handle and manage asphalt materials effectively, ensuring proper storage, mixing, and application to maintain high-quality work.Team Collaboration: Work closely with the project team to meet strict project deadlines and specifications.
Communicate any issues or concerns regarding the job site, materials, or equipment in a timely manner.Site Preparation & Cleanup: Assist in preparing job sites by setting up safety barriers and signage.
Participate in post-project cleanup and restoration to ensure the site meets regulatory and environmental standards.Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure compliance with local and national construction regulations.
