This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Cyber Testing tima as a Security Specialist. This is a technically challenging turanga (role), with lots of variety and scope to learn. The tima interacts with many other areas in Technology and across the bank, so no two days are the same! This is a hybrid role based in Wellington or Auckland with three days in the office and two where you can work flexibly. What projects / mahi will the candidate be working on now and into the next year? Your focus will be providing operational support for the bank's security platforms, responding to vulnerabilities, incidents, and threats. Additionally, you will be working on security uplift projects such as security automation and reporting enhancements. What is the tima culture and environment like? We are a supportive tima with a wide range of skills and experience. We love creative thinkers and problem solvers, and we like sharing what we've done within and outside the tima. What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity? BNZ is investing heavily in cyber protection. This tima is an amazing place to be if you like being on the cutting edge of cyber security; learning new skills and getting involved in new capabilities and technologies. What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this turanga? We are looking for someone with good time management and prioritisation skills. You'll be an analytical problem solver and have the ability to keep calm under pressure. What specific tech skills would be beneficial? You will need a good understanding of security operations and the technologies and platforms we use in the tima and across the bank. Specifically, we're looking for a good level of general networking and web technologies, experience with a SIEM such as Splunk, M365, AWS, Azure, Windows OS (desktop and server), and Linux (RHEL and Debian). Some scripting or development experience would be ideal.
