This is mahi that will improve the health and well-being of everyone in Aotearoa, and we've got an opportunity for you to be part of it… Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity The role's primary focus is to deliver comprehensive, up-to-date Healthcare Security Officer training for both new and existing staff, as well as training Clinical Incident Leads, utilising internal and external resources. It includes educating workers on security safety, responding to and managing violence at work, monitoring and enhancing service quality, and ensuring timely updates on process changes. Additionally, the role keeps senior clinical and management staff informed of security issues and provides advice as needed. This role is regionally based as a function of the national training programme, with primary focus and responsibility for Health New Zealand sites within your region. Mou | About you As part of the national training team, you will be responsible for delivering a responsive and efficient security service during both normal operations and incidents. You will play a key role in managing security service delivery, supporting effective operations 24/7, including being part of the on-call roster. In addition to your operational duties, you will also educate workers on security safety best practices, including delivering Safety Intervention training to enhance the safety culture within the organisation. We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in safety services to join our team. With at least 5 years of experience in the safety services field, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and safety of our hospitals and kaimahi. Ideally, you are already a certified CPI Safety Intervention Trainer, or you possess the fitness and ability to achieve this qualification. Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills and experience * 5 years clinical experience; or * High level of physical fitness * Experience in facilitating and developing adult education * Degree or equivalent experience in any field related to security, health, safety, crime prevention * Experienced and competent in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products Ka kawea e koe | You will bring: * A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions.
