What we're looking for An enthusiastic, team player with excellent customer service skills, and either Security Guard experience or relevant experience working within a security environment with a drive and ambition to become a fully qualified and competent Security Guard. By joining our Security Guard team working at Waiouru Military Camp, you will gain vast experience within a security role, as well as gaining knowledge and experience working on New Zealand Defence Force site. You will keep our customer's site safe and secure by: Controlling entry points and exit points. Checking IDs and issuing temporary passes. Completing walking and vehicle roving patrols. CCTV Monitoring. Monitoring military facilities on a 24-hour basis. Following guidelines or protocols set by PAE and NZDF. Maintaining a register of incidents and completing incident reports. Following the correct procedure for any breaches of security. To be successful you will have: A current Certificate of Approval (COA) (or ability to obtain). NZ Certificate in Security Level 3, or relevant experience. Current Full Drivers Licence. Ability to work on a shift roster. Good level of fitness to complete the physical elements of the work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A confident communicator, both written and verbal. What we can offer you: Full uniform, wet weather, and warm weather clothing. Due to the operating requirements, a casual shift may be either day or night. The successful applicant will be required to undergo an NZ Defence Force Security Clearance, which is required to be obtained and maintained throughout employment, as well as a pre-employment medical and drug test.
