Flexible Working is encouraged, and we ideally would like this role to be based in either Auckland, Wellington or Brisbane The Cybersecurity Architect role within our Group Cybersecurity team is an oversight and trusted advisor role with a strong focus on supporting the internal Datacom organisation in the delivery of Managed Services, Application Services, and Products where there are security related matters. What You'll Do As a member of the Group Cybersecurity team, you would engage with various stakeholders, helping our team design and deliver Cybersecurity projects and initiatives that strengthen Cybersecurity maturity level and reduce potential risks within the Datacom environment. You will develop, communicate, and maintain the approach taken by Datacom for enterprise-wide security architecture through inputting into security strategy and roadmaps and development of security patterns and standards to Group Datacom business. You will report directly to the Security Services Manager of Group Cybersecurity. Work closely with the Senior Cybersecurity Architect to deliver an Enterprise Security Architecture program including Zero Trust Security and Cloud Security across Group Datacom Lead the design, implementation, and automation of the Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) workflow for Group Cybersecurity engagements. Support the establishment and implementation of Cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) programme within Group Datacom Support the development and management of security policies, standards, guidelines, and processes Assists the Group Cybersecurity team in defining Security Architecture requirements, principles, and practices for managing security operations and security incident response Help drive the development and successful implementation of Group Cybersecurity projects and initiatives Engage with key stakeholders to understand the business context and priority areas for improvement. Collaborate with senior management and business owners across Group Datacom to enable secure by design principle. About You You will ideally possess the following skills, experience, and attributes: Significant experience (5+ years) in an IT Security Management and Consultation role with a particular focus on the GRC and security architecture aspect. A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field and preferable industry professional certifications (e.g., CISM, SABSA, CISSP, or Security+) Possesses a robust consultancy approach to drive the uplift security culture within Group Datacom Good working knowledge of current Cybersecurity risks and experience delivering security programmes (e.g., GRC, ISO/IEC 27001 implementation and Security Architecture) Good understanding of GRC, Security Audit and Assurance, Zero Trust Security, Cloud Security, and Security Operations Familiar with various international and local security standards including ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, NZISM, SOC2, and Privacy and Data Protection Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture disciplines and frameworks (e.g., SABSA and TOGAF) Cybersecurity consultancy with experience in delivering enterprise projects Self-motivated, logical thinker, fast learner, pragmatic, and confident Able to engage and motivate people Agile and flexible in approach Excellent documentation and communication skills to ensure clarity and alignment of understanding across the numerous parties.
