At Foodstuffs North Island (FSNI), we're not just a company — we're a vital part of New Zealand's food supply chain, and we're looking for a passionate Security Analyst to help protect it!
You'll play a critical role in ensuring the security of FSNI's enterprise technology systems.
This is your chance to make a real difference, combining hands-on experience with opportunities to grow and contribute to innovative security initiatives.
Here's what you can expect:
Daily security monitoring: Perform checks, gather threat intelligence, and analyse vulnerabilities to safeguard our IT landscape.Collaborative problem-solving: Work closely with other tech teams to research and address security risks while driving proactive improvements.Incident response and process refinement: Be part of our incident response efforts and continuously enhance how we manage threats.Documentation and learning: Maintain an understanding of FSNI's attack surface and contribute to policies and procedures that support our security posture.Innovation and automation: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, automate manual tasks, and ensure compliance with security standards.Flexibility and support: Participate in after-hours security support (on a roster) and assist with special projects led by our Lead Security Engineer.This role offers a unique combination of immediate impact and long-term growth, making it perfect for someone ready to step into the exciting world of cybersecurity.

You will also bring:
Tech-savviness with a growing focus on cybersecurity (knowledge of NIST and PCI DSS is a bonus).Experience in IT, whether from an infrastructure or development background.Enthusiasm for learning about cloud technologies and security practices.A drive to achieve or already hold entry-level cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, SSCP, ISACA CSX).A team player with a collaborative style and a knack for building secure, reliable systems.Bonus: Experience in retail or customer-focused environments!If you're ready to roll up your sleeves, embrace new challenges, and grow your cybersecurity expertise, we'd love to hear from you!
