Security Analyst

We have a job opportunity for a Security Analyst to join our team based in central Auckland.
This role is a permanent full-time role with 40 working hours per week. The remuneration range of this role is from $80,000 - $90,000 depending on your skills and experience in the industry.
This role is to ensure the secure operation of the in-house computer systems, servers and network connections.
This includes checking server and firewall logs, scrutinising network traffic, establishing and updating virus scans and troubleshooting.
This role is also responsible for analysing and resolving security breaches and vulnerability issues in a timely and accurate fashion and conducting user audits where required.
As our Security Analyst, your day-to-day tasks include and are not limited to:

Maintain and support enforcement of policies, procedures and associated plans for system security.
Maintain systems and their corresponding or associated software.
Ensure data transferred both internally and externally is secured.
Report on security system and end user activity audits.
Monitor alerts and worldwide trends to ensure latest threats are identified and we are secured.

To be the right candidate, you need to have:

At least 2-year relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree (or above) in computer science or similar
A team player while having the ability to work unsupervised
Outstanding communication skills
Work under pressure
Have your own tools of transport to work
NZ citizen/residents, or have the appropriate visa to start the role.
