Environment & Sustainability Consulting (Consulting & Strategy) Full time Senior Advisor - Sector Lead role: Primary Sector and Waste (flexible location, Wellington or Auckland preferred).The location for these roles is flexible, potentially inclusive of remote working. We have offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.We are Toitu Envirocare (Enviro-Mark Solutions Limited), and chances are you have already interacted with our brands - Toitu carbonzero, Toitu carbonreduce, or Enviro-Mark. You may have enjoyed carbonzero certified Yealands wine or Steinlager Beer, eaten Enviro-Mark Certified Abe's Bagels or used carbonzero certified ecotricity electricity, cleaned using Enviro-Mark Certified Eco Store products or at least know friends or family who have.You may have wondered at times how organisations like Kathmandu, The Warehouse Group, Canterbury University and Westpac manage their carbon emissions. Our aim is to encourage more organisations to start their journey with us to make New Zealand and the world more sustainable, and the market for our services is growing rapidly.Key responsibilities include the following:Maintaining a detailed understanding of lead practice in emissions measurement, reduction and related knowledge in the sectors for which you are responsible, for both organisations and productsDeveloping and delivering internal and external guidance on how to apply sector specific considerations to our programmes and other offeringsEnsuring the successful completion of client projects/ work assigned to youWork closely with Toitu's sales and client relations team to ensure a positive and consistent client experienceLeading the strategic direction and development of Toitu's professional technical service offerings in your specialist sectors in partnership with those who are focused on emerging scienceBuilding internal capability on sector knowledge that champions the needs and voice of the customer - both internally and externallyAbout youYou will have relevant tertiary qualification such as accounting, environmental science or engineering, commerce, business management, or equivalent experience along with:experience developing and implementing sustainable practices for business sectors, government and/ or research agenciesknowledge in GHG (Greenhouse Gas) gas reporting and reduction and broader environmental management in the sectors relevant to your roleproven experience in client managementexperience in project management and project budget controlstrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical topics to non-technical audiencesthe ability to engage constructively with a wide range of stakeholders, including Business, Government, Boards and Executive Teams, partners, technical experts, standards -setters, etc.A fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a busy team making a difference to New Zealand.What we offerAs an employee of Toitu Envirocare, you will work with passionate and talented people in a caring and flexible environment; enjoy good staff benefits and the opportunity for personal growth and career development.How to applyToitu Envirocare embraces diversity and is committed to an inclusive and respectful workplace where everyone is valued for their unique contribution.
