Full-time Clinical Cardiac Physiology - Team Lead
As a Team Leader, you will be expected to develop the service and workforce, providing education, supervision, and mentorship to all trainee positions, new graduates, and upskilling our existing workforce in new techniques and pacing. You will work with the Clinical Nurse Manager in the operational aspect of the role to develop a quality assurance framework, equipment maintenance, and assist with the technical aspect of your role. You will work with the Cardiac Sonography Professional lead in the professional development of the workforce and service. You will have up to 0.2FTE assigned to non-clinical workload.
Te Whatu Ora Taranaki is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Cardiac Physiologist Team lead to work in our Cardiology and Respiratory Department at Taranaki Base and Hawera Hospital. You would be working as part of a dynamic team. The department offers:
Pacemaker follow-up (ICD/CRT/Brady)
ILR implantation and follow-up
Diagnostic Coronary Angiography
Ambulatory Cardiac Monitoring
Exercise Treadmill testing
Lung Function testing (This is not a core responsibility; however, you may be called upon to assist)
The successful candidate will be required to:
Have membership with the SCT (The Society of Cardiopulmonary Technology NZ)
Ideally be in the process of attaining an APC with the CPRB (Clinical Physiologists Registration Board)
Have proven management and leadership skills and experience.
