Secondary School Workshop Technician

Christchurch Boys High School – Riccarton, South Island
We require a part-time technician to support our teaching team in the technology department at Christchurch Boys' High School for 14 hours per week.
This position would ideally suit a retired tradesperson with a background in engineering. Familiarity with computers and possibly CNC machines are definite advantages.
Hours of work may be negotiated to suit the applicant.
Responsibilities would involve:
Maintenance of department tools, equipment, and fixtures.
Performing and recording regular Health & Safety checks & settings.
Purchasing of consumables as directed by teaching staff.
Preparation of materials as directed by teaching staff.
Minor "one-off" jobs & alterations (storage etc).
The applicant would be required to be police vetted to work with children, and some basic computer literacy would be beneficial.
