Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 28/01/2025, End Date: 09/12/2025 (To provide backfill while kaimahi are seconded to a resource writing project and to support forecasted akonga for 2025.)Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacherLearning languages, Social sciences, Te reo Maori, Hauora, Hangarau, Nga Reo, Nga Toi, Te Reo Maori, Te Reo Pakeha, Tikanga a-iwi, Pangarau, Putaiao.Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is New Zealand's largest school with a roll of up to 24,000 akonga (students) at any point in time. We provide personalised learning programmes from early childhood to NCEA Level 3.Our akonga are at the centre of all we do. We are privileged to have the opportunity to support many akonga on their learning journey, including many at-risk akonga.The successful applicant will be part of a collaborative team guiding and supporting innovative and inclusive curriculum design across a range of matauranga Maori contexts.We are seeking a passionate, experienced kaiako to join our Te Aka Taumatua tima in Nga Kete o Te Ao Maori. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching one or all subjects, including Te Reo Maori NCEA, Kaupapa Maori NCEA, and Te Ao Haka NCEA across Level 1-3. This is an exciting opportunity to nurture and shape the next generation of Maori leaders.
