We run six deep sea fishing vessels with primarily Kiwi crews bringing the best New Zealand seafood to the world. Right now, we're looking for someone to join our longline vessel for a trip on the FV Janas as the Second Engineer for their next voyage commencing approximately the start of November 2024 for the annual ice trip.We offer competitive remuneration and the opportunity to further your career while fishing around New Zealand and Antarctica.About the RoleThe successful applicant must hold a minimum of a MEC5 (or equivalent) Ticket and at least 1 year of experience on similar vessels.In this role, you will take direction from the Chief Engineer and be responsible for carrying out watch keeping duties, maintenance of the ship's machinery, equipment, and structure.This is a position that works on average a 12-hour day, seven days a week for the duration of the voyage (60 – 100 days).
