Wilderness Lodge Arthur's Pass is a boutique family-run nature lodge set on a working sheep farm in the heart of the Southern Alps.
We are seeking an Second Chef to work the summer season alongside our Head Chef (role for a partner may also be available).
The Role: Expand your skills working with quality ingredients in a supportive environment. You will learn a lot and contribute to the successful operation of an established kitchen producing food of a high standard.
The Second Chef Will: Undertake general kitchen duties – prepare and plate breakfasts, lunches and evening meals alongside the Head Chef. Work unsupervised to deliver the same high standards of food on the Head Chef's days off Work harmoniously as part of a small team, living and working together in a remote location. Required Skills & Experience: Our team is enthusiastic and energetic and we hope to attract a like-minded second chef who:
Has a passion for quality food and minimum two years kitchen experience A mature team player, comfortable living and work in a remote location (prior experience in similar environments an advantage) Is available to work the busy tourism summer, from mid/late October through to early April The right to work legally in New Zealand If you can see yourselves as part of our team, we want to hear from you.
