Seasonal Packhouse Worker 2024/2025

About us Suncrest Orchard is a family-owned and operated orchard with 3 generations working hands-on in the business. We grow over 30 varieties of cherries and are Global GAP, GRASP and SQF (HACCP) accredited. This means we are a safe, sustainable company, practicing good agricultural practices and we comply with national employment legislation.
About the role Packhouse work is great for those who prefer to work indoors or who are not confident that they are well-suited for working in the orchard. In this role, you will be sorting fruit into different grade standards for export and local markets, loading the grader, weighing & lidding boxes, making and lining boxes, washing buckets, stacking pallets, labeling and other duties as required. This is repetitive factory-type work at a fast pace.
We offer a guaranteed minimum of 32 hours per week. Fixed term agreements. A range of accommodation on the orchard. Great team environment. We pay an End of Season Bonus. What do you need to join us No experience is required as full training will be provided. You will need a good concentration span. It is essential that you're able to work on your feet all day - the day can be 8-10 hours long. You enjoy being part of a team. You have a positive can-do attitude. You're self-motivated. You're reliable and punctual and will always get the job done. Please note: The fruit moves around the packhouse on conveyor belts and this can induce motion sickness in those prone to it.
