Our pool and leisure facilities are more popular than ever, and as Lead Lifeguard for our Pool and Leisure Centre, you will play a key part in ensuring that all customers not only have a fantastic experience but a safe one.
Your main responsibilities will include the following:
Providing guidance on and supporting the delivery of aquatics-based programmes.
General lifeguarding duties to ensure customers are safe and looked after.
Supporting the Team Leader with day-to-day operations at the Centre.
This is a fixed-term 40-hour position from 11 November 2024 till 28 Feb 2025.
As our centre opens 7 days a week, the ability to work early and late shifts, as well as weekends, is crucial in this role.

You'll have a passion for aquatics and enjoy sharing your knowledge and experience with customers and colleagues to improve water safety. You will be an excellent communicator and committed to delivering exceptional aquatic programmes and providing a high level of customer satisfaction.
Joining an energetic and passionate team, you'll be a keen team player with a flexible approach and be able to take the initiative to help drive a positive safety culture. You'll need to hold a current First Aid Certificate as well as a Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate.

Pay rate: $29.01 / Hour
Auckland Council is committed to the protection and wellbeing of children. This role is classified as a Children's Worker role under the Vulnerable Children Act 2014.
