ZIWI is gearing up for a major milestone with the launch of our new canning line. This cutting-edge facility represents our unwavering dedication to ultra premium pet nutrition. As we prepare to expand our team, we're seeking passionate individuals to join us in this journey of excellence. A key role to the success is the appointment of an experienced Seamer / Filler Operator. Responsible for overseeing the sealing and filling processes, this role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality, maximising production output and adhering to safety standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience in high speed production processes, in particular working operating the Filler, Seamer, Checkweigher. In addition, you will be proficient in mathematics, and able to calculate basic sums without the aid of a calculator.
Key responsibilities: • Proficient in operating and maintaining seaming and filling machinery equipment, and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
• Conducting quality checks, monitoring critical control points, and maintaining product quality standards throughout the production process.
• Efficiently managing time and resources to meet production schedules and deadlines, optimizing productivity while maintaining quality standards.
• Identify equipment malfunctions and implement solutions to minimise downtime
Key requirements: • NCEA level 2
• A proven track record in handling advanced automated equipment (Full training provided)
• Experience with canning machinery
• Expertise working with high-speed production processes.
