With a brand-new store and impressive offerings across butchery, seafood, bakery, deli, produce, grocery, and liquor, we can't wait to open our doors to the East Auckland community!We're currently seeking an experienced Seafood Manager to join the team. As a department manager, you'll play an integral part in our journey towards a successful store opening and continuously deliver an exceptional shopping experience for our community.As Seafood Manager you will:Ensure overall operational excellence is achieved for the Seafood department.Manage, motivate, train and support the Seafood team ensuring that best practice policies and operational procedures are met.Organise rostering for the Seafood department and manage staff leave.Order for the Seafood department through effective use of the in-store purchasing systems.Ensure appropriate stock control/stock taking processes and procedures are in place.Clean all serve overs, storage areas and Seafood equipment.Ensure sales and GP targets for the department are met or exceeded and that wage costs are controlled appropriately.Help to ensure the shop is full, fresh, and appealing throughout the hours of trade.Handle customer enquiries and complaints appropriately and always ensure effective interactions with customers.What's in it for you?If successful, you will join a business that prides itself on being 100% New Zealand owned and operated, become a part of a great community, and be a part of Highland Park's success from day 1!What we're looking for:A passion for all things seafood.Previous seafood experience – ideally in a retail environment.SAP experience is desirable.Strong leadership skills - experience supervising and organising a team.Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.Fantastic customer service experience.Physically fit and able to fulfil all the requirements of the role.
