Seafood Manager

New World Pukekohe has anopportunity for you as a Seafood Manager! Are you passionate about seafood and self-motivated? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We are seeking a talentedand experienced Seafood Manager to lead our seafood department.
As the Seafood Manager, you will be responsiblefor overseeing all aspects of the department, including ordering, inventorymanagement, pricing, and sales. You will also be responsible for managing ateam of seafood assistants and ensuring exceptional customer service isprovided.
To excel in this role, you should have a deepunderstanding of seafood products and a passion for quality and sustainability.You should also have experience managing a team and driving sales in a retailenvironment.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the ordering, receiving, andinventory management of seafood products.
Set prices and manage margins toensure profitability.
Train and manage seafoodassistants to provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
Develop and execute strategies todrive sales and meet department goals.
Ensure compliance with food safety andsanitation standards.
Have a high standard of cleanliness and understanding presenting fish in a serve over.
Qualifications: Experience in a Supermarketenvironment would be an advantage
Strong knowledge of seafood productsand sustainability practices
Proven ability to manage a team anddrive sales
A good understanding of SAP ispreferred but not essential
Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills
HACCP certification preferred
