Izon is a global nanotech company with headquarters in Christchurch. We design and manufacture products for the isolation and analysis of extracellular vesicles and other nano-sized particles used in nanomedicine. With thousands of customers across the world's top research organisations, Izon has many exciting projects in development. We have approximately 60 staff worldwide, with most of the team based at the Christchurch HQ.
About the role
Do you want to play a key role in advancing R&D? As our new Scientific Content Writer, you will play a key role in translating advances in nanoparticle separation and analysis into technical documentation and marketing content. You'll work closely with Engineering, R&D, Sales/Support, and Marketing teams to ensure customers receive clear, accurate, and engaging information. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in technical writing and science communication.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with colleagues in Engineering, R&D, and Sales/Support teams to identify content needs
Produce and update user manuals, quick start guides, and other technical materials for a scientific audience
Create content marketing material, including news articles, emails, videos, and content for social media
Review, edit and proofread material developed by others in the team
Working alongside our Graphic Designer to create and refine documents
Collaborate with others to ensure information is communicated accurately and clearly
What you'll bring
A strong command of the English language, and the ability to deliver technical information in a clear and accurate manner
The ability to drive projects forward while gathering input from stakeholders
Self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
An exceptional eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
Research/laboratory experience would be beneficial but not required
Evidence of previous experience in science writing/technical writing
A relevant tertiary education, in a discipline applicable to biology/life sciences
