Looking for Science Teachers in Christchurch! Position: Science Teacher Location: Christchurch Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 (MPS/UPS) Start Date: September 2024 Job Type: Part/Full-time Are you dedicated teacher and passionate about teaching Science? About the Role: As a Science Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to ignite curiosity and foster a love for science among the students. You'll deliver engaging lessons that capture the imagination and encourage exploration, helping students to develop a deep understanding of scientific concepts and their real-world applications. You'll work alongside talented colleagues who share your passion for science and are committed to delivering high-quality education. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and comprehensive science lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum standards, ensuring students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic challenges. Implement differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, providing each student with the opportunity to excel. Emphasise real-world applications of scientific principles, utilising hands-on experiments and cutting-edge resources to make science relevant and captivating for students. Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for scientific inquiry, promoting respectful behaviour among students. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's degree in science, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus. Teaching certification in Science. PGCE/QTS/QTLS Proven experience teaching science is preferred, not mandatory. Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school's curriculum. Skills: Ability to create engaging and informative lesson plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Effective classroom management. Problem-solving and analytical skills. Passion for teaching and inspiring students.
