We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a part-time School Nurse starting 20 January 2025. Availability for training in early December is preferable. Located on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast of Auckland, KingsWay is a high achieving, growing, state integrated Christian school catering for Year 1-13 students, with a current roll of 1823 students. Our staff are supportive and collaborative, and our work is inspired by love/aroha, heartened by faith/whakapono in Jesus Christ, and motivated by gospel hope/tumanako. About the job We are looking for a caring and qualified registered nurse with a current practising certificate to join our Health Centre team three days a week, term time only. You will be responsible for providing the following: A comprehensive holistic health assessment, co-ordinating appropriate follow-up, and providing first aid Health services to all students within nursing scope of practice Referral to health and social agencies for appropriate health and social interventions Working in partnership with parents, caregivers and whanau, regarding their child's health needs Supporting the delivery of health services to students by other health professionals Supporting students to take responsibility for their own health care and to promote the appropriate use of health services Maintaining student health records The successful applicant will have: The ability to relate well to students, parents and staff of KingsWay School Strong English language skills, both written and verbal Proficient computer skills The ability to respond in a flexible manner to the changing needs of the school day Initiative and organisational ability Demonstrate good health and safety skills Be willing to support KingsWay's special character If this sounds like you, and you want to support the work of shaping confident, connected, actively involved, lifelong learners who are growing in faith, hope, and love in Jesus, apply today!
