We are seeking a passionate and dedicated School Librarian to lead our library program.
The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore literature, develop research skills, and engage with information technology in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities: Holds full responsibility for the management of the library.Provide support for students with independent projectsManage the library's collection of books, digital resources, and educational materials.Facilitate learning sessions on research, information literacy, and technology use, including critical literacy around A.ICollaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum.Identifies and instigates system and policy changes to provide improved efficiency and effectiveness of library services.Organize and host events, workshops, and reading programs to promote literacy.Develops and delivers a library budget for the school board/finance committee.Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere in the library.Stay current with library trends and educational resources.Skills and Knowledge Previous experience in a school library setting is a plus.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency with digital resources and library management systems.A job description is available upon request.
