Based 10mins drive south of Rotorua CBD, Red Stag Timber operates Waipa Mill, NZ's largest timber manufacturing plant, which employs 400+ staff and contractors.
The company is fast paced and progressive, producing structural timber for both the domestic and export markets.
An opportunity has arisen for a tech savvy graduate with IT / IS work experience to join the Scheduling team, and train in site specific production scheduling ERP systems.
The scope of work for this position will include:
Learn all aspects of the Scheduling team function, in order to understand desired outcomesAssist with system development and improvement projects as requiredMaintain site specific timber production & stock reporting systemsMonitor accuracy levels and run checks between reports and actual product on siteKey skills and attributes required include:
Strong computer skills particularly SQL Server, Microsoft 365 and Power PlatformKnowledge of AI tools advantageousAnalytical & problem solving skillsAbility to understand and apply qualitative and quantitative measures to assess system performanceGreat communication and 'can-do' attitudeApplicants may hold a tertiary qualification in Computer Science and/or Information Systems, and ideally have some work experience involving timber stock control information systems and/or accounting.
Hours of work will be Mon-Fri 8am-5pm.
