Schedulers play a key role in getting people in prison into rehabilitative programmes, education, employment, and training. They support all internal and external stakeholders in ensuring the 'best fit' is achieved by balancing the needs of the individuals with the number of activity placements available.
Through the monitoring of waitlists and timely handling of referrals, your flexibility to respond to the ever-changing needs of people in prison will be paramount to their success and yours.
Updating and maintaining data in key systems is a core part of this role, as is liaising with other departments to ensure opportunities are maximised and offender plans are managed effectively.
We are looking for someone who not only thrives with processes and procedures, but has advanced Excel skills and is able to easily learn new programmes and systems.
It is essential to have excellent time management skills and a good sense of humour!
This will be a busy role and some of the key skills we are seeking are:
Communicating effectively both in writing and verbally
Prioritising and managing your time to meet deadlines and complete tasks
Understanding and interpreting legislation and procedures
Working autonomously and independently as is needed
Collaborating with others and contributing as a team player
Building and maintaining relationships with key departments/agencies/coordinators
The salary for this role is $83,166 per annum (pro rata).
