About: Our client is a family owned and operated business with manufacturing facilities in Christchurch and Auckland.
Established in 2005 they bring generations of industry experience and a strong commitment to quality and efficiency in construction.
Role Overview: As a Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the production schedule in Christchurch.
You will be responsible for organizing and prioritizing detailed jobs to streamline production in the factory, ensuring that work is completed on time and within schedule to meet our clients' deadlines.
Key Responsibilities: Utilize computer skills effectively to manage scheduling tasks.
Organize and prioritize jobs to optimize production efficiency.
Ensure timely completion of work to meet tight deadlines.
Think creatively to expedite jobs and effectively manage workload priorities.
Perform calculations for building materials required on jobs.
Maintain a keen eye for detail to identify and resolve any irregularities.
Utilize MiTek 20/20 or MiTek Sapphire software for scheduling tasks; training provided.
Create As Built Designs and submit to councils/companies as required.
Prepare Frame & Truss site packs for construction projects.
Required Skill Set: Exceptional customer service focus.
Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent administration skills and well-organized approach.
Clear and concise communication ability.
Ability to make decisions in the best interest of the company.
Proficient computer skills.
Capability to triage and prioritize tasks under pressure.
Strong literacy and grammar skills.
Strong mathematical aptitude.
Desirable Attributes: Demonstrates willingness to follow instructions and understands their importance for company success.
Shows proactive learning and personal growth.
Adaptable to change and demonstrates innovation in uncertain situations.

While knowledge of building/construction products is beneficial, it is not essential.
