We are looking for a Scanning and Optimisation Specialist to enhance our wood recovery processes. As a Scanning and Optimisation Specialist you will manage advanced scanning technologies, analyse data, and implement strategies to maximise wood utilisation in our sawmill and remanufacturing facilities. This role will receive support from offsite providers, onsite management, and operators. Some training may involve traveling abroad.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and operate high-precision scanning systems and technology from industry leaders, including USNR and Microtec, to optimize wood recovery.
Analyze data to identify improvement areas and reduce waste.
Train and support staff on scanning technologies and best practices.
Continuously enhance processes by staying informed about the latest technological advancements and improvements, and advising on the replacement of outdated technologies or software.
Conduct production simulations to evaluate performance and pinpoint strategic opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
Communicate effectively with operators and senior leadership, building strong relationships that drive business success.
Qualifications:
Experience in wood processing, scanning technology, or data analysis.
Strong problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
Effective communication and training abilities.
