Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacherSubjects: English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Maori, The artsDue to roll growth, our well-established rural school, 30 minutes NW of Taupo, is seeking a highly effective NZ registered teacher who is passionate about children and will take learning to the next level.The successful applicant will have positive classroom management skills and share our focus on creating a stimulating environment where every learner engages in innovative, personalised learning in a supportive classroom environment.They will require strong curriculum knowledge, effectively implement a robust structured literacy and mathematics curriculum, and demonstrate sound understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. A solid understanding of assessment for learning, using data to inform and improve their teaching practice is essential.The successful applicant will be a self-motivated team player who works collaboratively to create meaningful contexts to inspire and motivate our learners and be committed to the corporate life of our uniquely rural school. You can explore the lake, Mt Ruapehu ski fields, local native bush, and the Pureoras at your leisure.The full-time, permanent position will commence term 1, 2025.
