Do you love working with children? Want to work in a fun, collaborative school environment? Then do we have the position for you!
We are seeking a highly motivated teacher / kaiako who is passionate about tamariki and places their learning front and centre. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who wants to work as part of a collaborative team environment that provides rich opportunities to learn, grow and build your capacity as a teacher.
We are seeking a culturally responsive teacher / kaiako who is highly motivated and can build strong relationships with tamariki and whanau. Our kura offers both English-medium and dual-medium education for our tamariki and we embrace Te Ao Maori throughout the fabric of who we are as a kura. We are seeking a Kaiako for either an English OR dual medium classroom.
The ideal candidate for our dual-medium classroom will have experience teaching in a dual-medium environment and possess knowledge of Te Reo Maori and its associated tikanga. Our dual-medium classes operate at Level 2 in Te Reo Maori. A strong commitment to the principles of He Puawaitanga, our dual-medium hub, is essential.
Ideally, the successful candidate for our English-medium classroom will have some experience with Structured Literacy, but a commitment to this approach and willingness to learn and grow is equally as important. This year our professional learning has focused around The Writing Revolution; experience with this approach would be a bonus.
If you are a teacher who wants to work in a collaborative team environment who places high value on professional learning and growth, while having fun along the way, then Takaka Primary School might be the school for you!
Accommodation: Who wouldn't want to work and live in beautiful Golden Bay!? School House accommodation is an option for the successful applicant.
