Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacherEnglish, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Maori, The artsWe have a Scale A teacher position in our learning whanau here at Te Whai Hiringa.The successful applicant must first be a teacher who cares about their students and is ready to join whanau-orientated staff.
Relationships are paramount in our school; we all work together to do the best for our mokopuna.
All applicants are welcome, and the position is suitable for PCTs.
We have an excellent support and guidance programme.Our uara (values) are the basis for everything we do at our kura: Maramatanga, Manaakitanga, and Whanaungatanga.
We are proudly working on indigenising our curriculum to reflect the identity of our students and their whanau.
The successful applicants will show a willingness to be on their te reo Maori me ona tikanga learning journey.
We need teachers who understand that a child's identity is central to their well-being and know how to value and respect each child's kete of knowledge that they bring to their learning daily.
