The successful candidate will value the Voice, Agency and Identity (VAI) of all learners to join our wonderfully diverse community in Porirua. Be ready to be supported with rich professional development targeted at accelerating progress in literacy and developing our understanding of the neuroscience behind how the brain learns. At the same time, come with the desire to question and be questioned to drive culturally responsive, collaborative improvement. We need your great ideas to provide amazing hands-on life experiences each week alongside your team. Your input to discussion will help shape the direction of the school and the future for our learners. To provide balance and opportunities to practice self-care, we offer approximately 2 blocks of release as a syndicate every week, reducing meetings and opening opportunities for collaboration, induction, and ongoing support. After successfully trialing this in 2024, our teachers told us they have found their weekends again and are still fully planned for Mondays! The Attitude of Gratitude would be advantageous.
