Scaffolding Supervisor

Job Overview:
We are seeking two skilled and experienced Scaffolding Supervisors to join our team.
The position is full-time based and candidates are normally required to work 30 to 55 hours per week.
The ideal candidates will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient design, erection, maintenance, and dismantling of scaffold structures, as well as leading teams of scaffolders, labourers, and trainees.
Main tasks:

Talk with clients and discuss their needs and requirements.
Calculate loadings and design a suitable scaffold structure for each situation.
Check worksites for hazards.
Order and co-ordinate transport of scaffolding components.
Load and unload scaffolding from trucks, using forklifts.
Erect scaffold structures.
Regularly inspect scaffolding for safety and make alterations and repairs as needed.
Check and maintain scaffolding equipment.
Lead teams of scaffolders, labourers, and trainees.
Fix the scaffolding to the building or structure to make it more stable, using short 'tie tubes'.
Lay planks (battens) across the scaffolding for workers to walk on.
Put up the scaffolding poles (standards) and attach the horizontal tubes (ledgers) to them with couples.
Unload scaffolding equipment at the site.
Fix guard rails and safety netting.
Take down the scaffolding after a job is finished.
Set base plates on the ground at regular intervals (these stop the upright poles from slipping).
Drive trucks.
Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in building or construction work, with relevant scaffolding experience.
Scaffold ticket or NC2 certification.
Relevant supervisor qualification.
Valid Class 2 driver's licence.
Must be mentally and physically fit to work in varying weather conditions.
Must be capable of handling and carrying heavy equipment.
Working on alternate weekends is required.
Ability to commute to Auckland or relocate to Auckland before starting work.
