This is a physically demanding role, requiring a strong work ethic to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the basement area of our Sawmill.
While the work is tough, we offer a competitive starting pay rate of $30 per hour to reflect the effort and commitment required.
You will also have the opportunity to learn new skills, including operating a skid steer (Bobcat) and supporting basic sawmill operations.Key Responsibilities include:Cleaning and MaintenanceSkid Steer Operation (Training Provided)General SupportHealth and SafetyResponsibilities include:Sweep and remove sawdust, wood chips, and other debris from the basement area.Keep the basement floor clean, organised, and free of hazards.Clean around machinery, ventilation systems, and other equipment in the basement.Empty waste bins and ensure proper waste disposal following company protocols.Learn to operate a skid steer to assist in removing materials and debris from the basement.Maintain and clean the skid steer after use.Assist with other cleaning tasks around the Sawmill as needed.Help ensure the basement and surrounding area are kept safe, organised, and free of hazards.Maintain a strong focus on health and safety standards at all times.Report any safety concerns or hazards promptly.Red Stag Timber will provide:Competitive rates of pay, along with a premium overtime rate paid at T1.5.Full training, skid steer operation, and cleaning best practices.A strong safety & wellbeing culture exists, including an annual Wellness Benefit of up to $350 after 12 months.Onsite training and learning opportunities to achieve a NZQA recognised qualification.Ideal applicants will have the following attributes:Be reliable, hardworking, and a physically fit team player.Take pride in producing a quality product, along with dedication to health and safety.If you're ready for hard work and want to be part of a team that values effort and dedication, apply now!You must be a NZ Resident living in New Zealand to apply for these roles.
