Job Description
This part-time role is working across the Homewares group predominantly focusing on Stationery.
Offering everything from pens and notebooks to puzzles and games sourced from around the globe. Can you appreciate the art of a well-crafted pen?
The Stationery department neighbours alongside the Pantry and there will be crossover with the team in there as we all work together.
Within Homewares we sell everything for the home from cookware, small appliances to sofas and beds and stationery. We also stock brands that are exclusive to us so have an exciting array of products to work with.
These are busy areas and as one of our salespeople, you will enjoy interacting with our customers, having the confidence to provide that one-on-one service to advise on the latest trends or show off your product knowledge. Being passionate, motivated and committed to achieving high standards at all times.
You will be adaptable, you will use your initiative to keep on top of tasks, ensuring your area is kept well-presented and stocked.
Attending product training sessions to expand your knowledge is key for success.
Having a good teamwork ethic along with the flexibility to work across all of these areas is essential to assist the wider team when required. You will be working with an established team and embrace the positive culture that Ballantynes offers.
Successful Candidate
The ideal applicant will have the following attributes:
Previous retail experience
Knowledgeable and passionate about stationery products is desirable.
Helpful, and willing to go above and beyond to assist our customers.
Passionate about working with quality merchandise.
An enthusiastic, engaging and warm nature
Great teamwork skills
Additional Information
This role is a permanent, part-time opportunity with a total of 30.75 hours per week working Sunday - Wednesday. Ideal start date beginning of October.
