Owned by the Global Top 5 dairy company Yili Group, Westland Milk Products and its related companies in New Zealand - Oceania Dairy (Glenavy), Pure Nutrition Ltd (Rolleston), Canary Foods (Hamilton) and EasiYo (Auckland) - form a group that we refer to as the Yili Oceania Business Division (YOBD). The combined business produces over 170,000mt of finished goods which are then exported to over 40 countries, driving annual revenue well in excess of $1.3B - and growing.

The Role:

Based in Christchurch (Hornby), we are looking for a bi-lingual (English and Chinese) Sales Support Administrator for our Group Supply and Infant Formula business. Reporting to the Head of Group Supply & Infant Nutritional Sales and working predominantly with multiple business divisions of Yili HQ in China, the principal purpose of this role is to provide sales administration support, allowing the Head of Department to focus on generating higher value for and from existing customers, and new business/product development.

The key focus of this role will be sales order management; documentation management, customer complaint management and system/process management, such as budget tracking and to manage the Order to Delivery process for customers from this channel, which includes the effective co-ordination of order deliveries and the provision of a timely, accurate and cost-effective order management and documentation service.

In summary the Sales Support Administrator will:

Provide exceptional customer service on behalf of YOBD, acting as a critical point of contact with our nutritional customers.

Be responsible for the creation and administration of all quotes, contracts and orders in our Oracle ERP through to SENT status.

Create and manage export and domestic shipment plans - working closely with our export team.

Create and manage export and domestic documentation including associated export and domestic labels.

Provide key nutritional customers with product samples and information as required.

Proactively manage any situations of customer dissatisfaction, and resolve issues with an empathetic and solution focused approach.

As such, applicants will ideally possess:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese (mandarin).

A background working in a sales support / order management / export docs related position or a good grasp of commercial, customer service administration.

Some technical knowledge of milk-based products and their applications would be highly beneficial, but is not essential as on-job learning will be well-supported.

We are a close-knit team and are looking for someone with a positive attitude and enthusiasm to grow their career with us. Although not essential, prior experience using ERP systems in a customer facing role would be an advantage. A pro-active approach and a strong work ethic is a must and if you have a high level of attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service then we would love to hear from you.

This position provides an excellent opportunity to experience building and maintaining relationships with key customers, ensuring that the delivery of our quality products is completed to a high standard.
