Job Description: The incumbent will report to the ANZ Channel and Business Development Manager, Automotive Aftermarket Division(AAD).
Mainly responsible for South Island, New Zealand as Territory Sales Specialist.
Key Objectives: Increase the penetration of Automotive Aftermarket Products and exceed the sales forecast for the products in your territory.
Achieve annual sales operating plans.
Drive sales throughout the Transportation Industry by delivering strong head office promotional calendars.
Identify and prioritise market segment and alternative channel opportunities for Automotive Aftermarket Division Products.
Prepare and execute annual sales plan.
Foster strong relationships with key account contacts at head office level.
Support the execution of plans through AAD distribution network.
Take responsibility for other products/projects as required.
Spend 80% of territory time face to face with the end user customer.
Responsibility for a regional sales territory, which will include overnight.
Responsibilities and Duties: Prospect for new needs and sales leads.
Make product recommendations, carry out site surveys.
Run training programs.
New Product introductions.
Demonstration of products to potential new users.
Prompt service and attention to customer requirements
Communicating market needs and trends to Marketing.
Communicating competitive trends to Marketing.
You will receive an annual sales target to be reached by selling the total range of products under your responsibility.
Administration and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed contact management records using the 3M Salesforce CRM database.
Provide detailed feedback of market trends, competitive activity and industry trends.
Complete fortnightly expense reports in accordance with company policy.
Complete annual Contribution and Development Summaries in conjunction with the Sales Manager.
Attend meetings and sales conferences as required.
Complete all mandatory training.
Required Experience/Qualification: Higher School Certificate or equivalent.
No Specific Tertiary Qualifications required
Cert III - Paint Technician or Panel Beater Technician Qualification preferred
3-5 years in a professional Sales role.
Experience in an Industrial Sales role preferred
Knowledge of Industrial products or terminology an advantage
Strong selling and key account management skills
High degree of computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel analysis & PowerPoint required
Strong business acumen and verbal communication skills
Excellent presentation and listening skills
High attention to details
Confident manner with internal team and external customers
Strong problem solving ability & resourcefully innovative in order to fulfil customers' requirements
Strong and consistent recent sales results
Previous supervisory responsibility preferred, but the passion for development of this ability essential
