Atrax Group is seeking a dynamic and solution-oriented Sales Solutions Engineer to lead our WeighTrax product line, a comprehensive weighbridge solution that integrates hardware, accessories, and software to optimize our clients' operations. About the Role As the Sales Solutions Engineer for WeighTrax, you'll work closely with clients to develop tailored solutions that go beyond individual components. Your expertise in weighing systems, coupled with strong problem-solving and abstract thinking skills, will enable you to offer complete, end-to-end solutions that align with our customers' unique operational needs. This role will involve collaborating internally with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure that each solution you deliver is feasible and effective.
Key Responsibilities Client Engagement: Work directly with a range of clients, from hands-on quarry operators to corporate stakeholders, to understand their unique requirements and translate them into full solution proposals.
Solution Design: Develop customized solutions for weighbridge systems, incorporating components such as displays, kiosks, license plate recognition (LPR), traffic lights, barriers, cameras, and sensors, as well as WeighTrax software for automated data management.
Technical Collaboration: Collaborate with Atrax's engineering, software, and production teams to ensure that proposed solutions can be delivered seamlessly from design through to implementation.
Business Case Support: Assist clients in building business cases for system adoption, presenting the value and ROI of WeighTrax solutions in terms that resonate with both operational and executive-level decision-makers.
Long Sales Cycle Management: Demonstrate resilience and strategic thinking to navigate longer sales cycles, providing ongoing support and follow-up to keep projects on track.
Data-Driven Solutions: Leverage WeighTrax software to help customers optimize their back-end processes through actionable insights and automation.
Key Requirements Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in electronics, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, instrumentation, automation, or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in a solutions-based technical sales role, ideally in an industrial, electronics, or automation setting.
Technical Knowledge: Strong appreciation of mechanical and electronic engineering principles. High level of numeracy, with an ability to work through complex technical and logistical considerations.
Communication Skills: Ability to engage and communicate effectively with a diverse client base, from practical field operators to corporate managers. Excellent internal communication skills to align solution design with Atrax's engineering, production, and supply chain teams.
Personal Attributes: Strong problem-solving abilities, especially when dealing with complexity and ambiguity. Confident, outgoing personality with a talent for relationship building and nurturing client trust. Resilient and adaptable, with the patience to manage longer sales processes.
