Sales Representative

As part of our succession planning, we are seeking a Sales Representative. This position will be responsible for maintaining long-term customer relationships and developing new relationships to help grow our pallet and specialized wooden packaging business. Extensive knowledge of our products and the manufacturing processes will be essential to the success of this role. Therefore 12 -18 months of hands-on work will be required in the manufacturing plant to gain in-depth knowledge.
The successful applicant will have the following qualifications and skills;

Tertiary qualification in sales and/or marketing.
Proven sales experience in a similar role (Manufacturing or construction).
Excellent communication skills, verbal & written.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Technical drawing & design skills (will be trained to use pallet design software).
Practical skills and able to conceptualize our products to meet customer requirements or solve customer problems.
Negotiation skills.
Highly developed people skills.
High emotional intelligence.
Clean driver license.

The successful candidate will be passionate about excellent customer service and enjoy getting out and meeting customers to build trust and long-term relationships. They should also have knowledge of the timber industry or an interest in wood and wooden products.
This is a full-time position based in Rolleston working 45 hours per week. SRS is a family-owned business, and we are looking for someone that is seeking long-term employment.
