We have an opportunity for a Sales Representative to join our team! This sales/business development role is within the construction sector and is a key position in a busy, down to earth and inclusive management structure that values its team culture.
The Role:
As the Sales Representative, you will focus on business development while maintaining relationships with our well-established client base. The role gives you autonomy, backed by great support from a dynamic team. You will be travelling mainly within the Bay of Plenty region, with a once a week/fortnightly run over to the Waikato to manage enquiries. Quoting will be a significant part of your role, with approx. 15-20 hours per week managing tenders and quotations. Projects will vary in size from smaller gates up to high rise apartments and commercial projects. You will enjoy the rewards of good conversion rates, along with the satisfaction of seeing how your sales impact and add value to your clients' projects. ABBAS has a strong quality client outcome focus.
Ideal Candidate:
We're seeking candidates with the following background, experience, and qualities:
Sales experience within the building industry or technical sales.
Strong time management skills and the ability to manage call cycles and enquiries effectively.
Excellent communication skills across all formats, with the confidence to build relationships and rapport at all levels.
Well-presented and motivated self-starter.
Creative problem-solving abilities in helping clients visualize their needs.
