Sales Representative - Hawkes Bay / Central North IslandAccount & Relationship Management (Sales)Makita New Zealand Ltd, a market leader in the supply of power tools, outdoor power equipment, and accessories, has an excellent career opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join the Makita team as a Hawkes Bay / Central North Island Area Sales Representative.The role covers an existing territory which includes power tool specialists, hardware groups, hire companies, end users, and outdoor power equipment specialists.Reporting to the North Island Regional Sales Manager, your responsibilities will include:Managing a regular call cycle.Providing unbeaten service levels to our customers.Maintaining and developing strong relationships with customers, end users, and the Makita team.Implementing and maintaining a high level of merchandising standards.Developing and maintaining relationships with targeted end users within your territory.Promoting Makita to key new markets.Involvement in product merchandising, product training and presentations, implementation of promotional activity, new product launches, end user site visits, and participation in customer Trade Shows.To secure this role, you will need to demonstrate:Knowledge/use of power tools & accessories, outdoor power equipment would be an advantage.The ability to learn and understand technical products.Ability to build successful business relationships.Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills.Some out-of-town travel will be required.Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.If you believe that you have the skills that Makita New Zealand Ltd is looking for, then we want to hear from you.
