Sunshine Solar – Christchurch, South Island
POSITION OVERVIEW: You will be responsible for driving residential solar system sales through consultative selling approaches, conducting professional in-home appointments, and designing customized solar solutions for homeowners. This role combines technical knowledge, sales expertise, and customer service excellence to help customers achieve energy independence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Consultations
Conduct professional in-home consultations with pre-qualified prospects
Design customized solar system solutions
Present compelling proposals and quotes
Guide customers through the decision-making process
Follow up systematically with prospects
Maintain accurate records in CRM system
System Design
Create detailed solar system designs
Calculate potential energy production and savings
Prepare comprehensive quotes
Identify optimal system configurations
Customer Relations
Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Provide expert advice on solar technology
Address customer questions and concerns
Ensure smooth handover to installation team
Follow up post-sale to ensure customer satisfaction
Professional Development
Participate in regular training sessions
Stay current with product developments
Attend team meetings and sales briefings
Contribute to team knowledge sharing
Maintain industry knowledge
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 3 years successful sales experience OR 1 year solar sales experience
Valid New Zealand driver's license
Strong computer literacy
Excellence in verbal and written communication

COMPENSATION:
Base salary plus commission structure OTE $144,000 - $300,000+ Phone allowance
