POSITION OVERVIEW: You will be responsible for driving residential solar system sales through consultative selling approaches, conducting professional in-home appointments, and designing customized solar solutions for homeowners. This role combines technical knowledge, sales expertise, and customer service excellence to help customers achieve energy independence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Sales Consultations Conduct professional in-home consultations with pre-qualified prospectsDesign customized solar system solutionsPresent compelling proposals and quotesGuide customers through the decision-making processFollow up systematically with prospectsMaintain accurate records in CRM system  System Design Create detailed solar system designsCalculate potential energy production and savingsPrepare comprehensive quotesIdentify optimal system configurations  Customer Relations Build and maintain strong customer relationshipsProvide expert advice on solar technologyAddress customer questions and concernsEnsure smooth handover to installation teamFollow up post-sale to ensure customer satisfaction  Professional Development Participate in regular training sessionsStay current with product developmentsAttend team meetings and sales briefingsContribute to team knowledge sharingMaintain industry knowledge  REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum 3 years successful sales experience OR 1 year solar sales experienceValid New Zealand driver's licenseStrong computer literacyExcellence in verbal and written communicationDESIRED ATTRIBUTES: Self-motivated and results-drivenStrong presentation skillsExcellent time managementProblem-solving capabilityCustomer-focused mindsetProfessional appearance and mannerAbility to work independentlyStrong attention to detailPERFORMANCE MEASURES: Monthly sales targets achievementConversion ratesQuality of system designsProfessional conductTeam contributionWORKING CONDITIONS: Flexible hoursField-based roleCompany vehicle providedLaptop and phone providedTravel throughout Canterbury region requiredCOMPENSATION: Base salary plus commission structureOTE $144,000 - $300,000+Phone allowance CAREER PROGRESSION: Opportunity for advancement to team leadership rolesPotential to develop and manage sales teamsAccess to ongoing professional development
