About the BusinessBiophive is New Zealand's leading processor of premium quality pet treats and a trusted supply partner for private label and pet-products brand owners globally.The business is entering the next phase of growth as a result of significant investment in new processing capability which will extend the product range into formulated extruded treats.Position Summary:Biophive is seeking a highly motivated individual to be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the sales and marketing functions. This role will report to the Head of Sales and will provide support and will involve B2B account management of some existing customers and business development with new potential customers. This role provides an excellent introduction for someone aspiring to develop their skills and experience in export sales processes.The Sales & Marketing Assistance role will encompass:Day-to-day account management including customer communications, order management and order tracking.Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customer contacts with whom this role is the key relationship holder.Understanding customers' needs well and translating those insights into superior service and sales growth opportunities.Collaborating effectively with key internal team members to ensure exceptional customer service, prompt responses and high customer satisfaction.Implementation of sales and marketing strategies.Preparing sales, marketing and customer documentation, content and collateral as required.Maintenance of website.Preparation and provision of samples to customers.Facilitating the implementation of the CRM system, including data migration, developing sales processes and performance metrics and reports, and documenting standard operating systems for use of the CRM system.Day-to-day operation and maintenance of the CRM system, ensuring it is up to date and that all customer interactions are captured as well as coordinating and following up on sales tasks.Data analysis, preparing sales reports, forecasts, and account plans.Translation of data into information and insights, identification of trends.Identifying and assisting with the realization of new sales growth opportunities.Collecting and capturing market intelligence and competitor information into the CRM to identify opportunities and challenges.Candidate Capabilities:The ideal candidate for the position is expected to have the following qualifications, experience, and personal attributes:Ability to learn quickly and willingness to embrace learning.A willingness to do whatever it takes to support the sales performance of the business and provide superior customer service.Competent in use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Advanced problem-solving skills, ability to persist in finding pragmatic solutions to challenging problems.Customer-centric and responsive in communications with customers.Proactive and self-motivated, driven by the desire to make a real difference.Commitment to challenging the status quo and drive improvements in every part of the business.Prepared to take ownership of situations and persist with obtaining a resolution.Flexible and adaptable, willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.Commitment to quality outcomes for the business and for customers.Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, food technology, agriculture or similar would be seen as favorable.To apply for this position, please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and describing why you think you should be the next star to join our team.
