Join our passionate team at Weft, where family values and employee well-being come first. We're looking for an experienced Sales Manager to help us grow our brand and expand our presence both in New Zealand and Australia.
Weft Knitting Company Ltd is a privately owned, family-run business based in Christchurch, New Zealand. We manufacture high-quality knitwear and thermalwear for domestic and international markets under our Noble Wilde brand. With a focus on innovative, sustainable products, we serve the fashion, outdoor, and rural industries, specialising in Possum Merino, 100% Merino and Thermalwear.
The Noble Wilde brand of Possum Merino knitwear and accessory lines is fast becoming the dominant brand in New Zealand and Australia due to its high 'sell through' against its competitors.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth, build customer relationships, and exceed sales targets.
Lead Generation: Identify and cultivate new leads, while nurturing existing customer relationships to ensure continued business growth.
Market Research: Stay on top of market trends and customer insights to ensure our products and messaging remain competitive.
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and motivate the sales team, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, design, customer service) to align on messaging and promotions.
Performance Tracking: Monitor KPIs and analyse campaign results, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet objectives.
Brand Development: Oversee the development and consistency of the Noble Wilde brand, ensuring it resonates with diverse audiences and markets.
Who We're Looking For:
Experience: You would need to bring at least five years of experience in sales, with a strong record of driving growth and managing successful campaigns.
Skills: You have a deep understanding of sales strategies, including market research and lead generation. You excel at building relationships, managing teams, and executing plans efficiently.
Creative & Analytical: You balance creativity with data-driven decision-making and problem-solving skills to deliver impactful results.
Leadership: You're an inspiring leader who enjoys coaching and developing talent, and you thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Communication: You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging for diverse audiences.
Adaptable: You excel in a fast-paced environment, are comfortable with change, and can pivot quickly when needed.
Other Requirements: A clean driver's license and the legal right to work in New Zealand, without any restrictions on your long term employment.
