About the Role (Your Why)The Sales Lead role will involve the identification and progressing business opportunities for the Local Government sector of New Zealand selling the Datasape Enterprise/ERP Suite. This role will also include the maintenance of key relationships, to this end the Sales Lead is expected to be creative in ensuring both Company and individual targets are met or exceeded by selling the full suite of Datacom Local Government offerings.What you'll bring Excellent sales qualification skills with proven ability to negotiate and close win/win solutions for all parties Effectively conveys politically and culturally sensitive information of a complex nature to a diverse audience. Successfully negotiates and/or resolves conflict with Datacom team members, vendors or customers, building support for preferred alternatives. Excellent customer relationship building and management skills Strong influencing and persuasive ability Knowledge of selling SaaS solutions Understanding of Local Government sector in New Zealand Responsibilities Sales Leadership of existing and new customers Management of the full sales cycle, from introduction, establishment of needs and solution development, through to presentation and ultimately closure, whilst utilising Datacom's CRM. Creation and Management of Sales Account Plans, reviewed quarterly. Promote Datacom services and products Respond to sales enquiries using appropriate methods. Attend and present at external customer meetings as well as internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development. Working as part of the Datacom Sales team and actively collaborating with sales colleagues. Actively participate in Marketing Campaigns/ activities. Plan and support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timelines, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities.Continuous knowledge sharing and personal development Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, vendor certifications and skills. Collaborate with all Business units and Vendors to ensure full knowledge of our products and services, this will include attending training courses when required.
