We're now looking for a dynamic Sales Engineer to join our growing team in the lower North Island.
About the Role As a Sales Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in autonomously managing a designated Territory Sales area within the lower North Island.
Your primary focus will be to drive sales and achieve growth objectives while upholding SICK's market leadership in diverse industries.
Engaging with OEMs, integrators, and end-users, you'll cover sectors including automotive, electronics, consumer goods and machines & motion.
You'll also be working on a dynamic array of projects, collaborating closely with various teams along the way!
This role is predominantly remote, allowing you to work from home while managing your territory.
Although our New Zealand team is based in Auckland, you'll be based in the lower North Island, as most of your time will be spent visiting customer sites in your territory.
In this role, you will report to the NZ Sales Manager.
Travel to our Auckland office for onboarding in the first week will be required and occasional visits for training and conferences .
About You To succeed in the role; you will possess: Relevant experience in Territory Sales Management implementing strategies and delivering key results.
At least 2 years of proven sales experience.
Preferably a qualification in mechanical/electrical/electronic engineering or relevant trade experience.
Ability to identify and solve customer problems effectively and build long-term relationships with customers.
An understanding of optical electronics/or Industrial automation sensors and factory automation environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with the industry, market trends, and competitors is beneficial.
Flexibility and willingness to travel are required.
