Sales Engineer - Hydraulics

The Company
Our client is a specialist hydraulics company based in Christchurch. They design, commission and service industrial and mobile hydraulic systems for many vital industries across NZ and overseas. They are a locally owned business with a long history and are run by a close knit team of like-minded engineers.
The Role
Due to an imminent retirement, they are now seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to take over the role. As a Sales Engineer, you will be focusing on offering bespoke, top quality hydraulic solutions for their existing customer base. We are looking for someone from an engineering background who has prior experience working in the hydraulics industry. You will need to have sound technical knowledge in different hydraulic components, systems and equipment.
While sales experience is beneficial, it is not a mandatory requirement. You will be working closely alongside the project and design team. This could be an excellent role for an experienced hydraulics engineer with excellent communication skills to step into. Flexibility to travel nationally and internationally from time to time would be preferred.
They are an immigration accredited employer and they are open to taking on international candidates who have worked for well-known hydraulic brands such as Danfoss, Bosch Rexroth, etc.
In summary, the requirements are,
A background in mechanical engineering or similar Experience working in the hydraulics industry (mobile or industrial) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Sales experience is beneficial but not essential Flexibility to travel from time to time Work well as a team Driven and passionate about solving problems and providing solutions
