On behalf of Nodi Handmade Rugs and Carpet, The Pond Recruitment is seeking a proven senior Sales and Relationship Management expert to join our clients' growing and ambitious business, designers, and producers of naturally sourced, handcrafted rugs and carpets.
This is a leadership role working directly with Olivia Moon, a talented founder and CEO who has built a rocket ship brand and company with big growth plans in the next 5 years.
You'll play a critical part in growing this brand in new markets and categories, always delivering on Nodi's promise to enrich and elevate people's lives by creating a natural place of connection between people and their everyday living and working environments.
With customers searching for design-led and naturally sourced interior products for their fashionable homes, retail spaces, hotels or restaurants, this role will suit someone with a strong commercial or personal connection to the world of quality products, interiors, design, and even architecture.

This role reports directly to the CEO, leads an existing team of three, and will complete the newly established senior leadership team – Head of Finance, Head of Marketing, and Head of Operations.
You will be responsible for overseeing the sales and revenue operations for Nodi's business, specifically creating and executing a sales growth strategy, driving new revenue growth with prospective and existing high-value customers, building profitable partnerships, and mobilising a sales team to achieve their own targets.
A pivotal role in ensuring sales and client service excellence, with a primary focus on revenue to support Nodi's growth strategy and profitability targets.
You will also play a crucial part in the nationwide launch of a new, yet piloted category, of high-end carpet to the NZ market.
This evolved offering brings with it an entirely new set of customers that will need to be identified, targeted, and onboarded through a seamless go-to-market sales strategy.

The breakdown We are looking for an operations expert with: Minimum of 8 years' total commercial experience Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role within the luxury products, interiors, or design industry.
Experience with CRM systems, funnel management, sales forecasting, and data analysis tools.
Strong personal connection to the world of quality products, interiors, design, or architecture.
Some key responsibilities are: Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team, fostering a culture of discipline, collaboration, achievement, and fun.
Market Development Strategy: Develop and execute both short-term and long-term market development strategies for key channels: Interior designers, architects, and carpet resellers, to achieve the company's revenue and growth objectives.
Client Relationships: Manage, deepen relationships and identify opportunities for growth with key accounts, including trade interior designers, architects, and major retailers.
Customer Experience: Ensure an exceptional customer experience by addressing client needs effectively, and ensuring our systems support great service.
Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with key accounts and partners, securing long-term partnerships.
Sales Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, track sales performance, and report on key metrics.
CRM Management: Oversee the use of CRM systems to track client interactions, manage sales pipelines, and ensure data accuracy.
Budget Management: Manage the sales budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximize ROI.
