Position Responsibilities: Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer for a leading logistics provider serving the critical delivery needs of businesses in multiple key industries and verticals. The Sales Director - Terminals will be responsible for securing new business from large national and regional users of final mile transportation services in the big and bulky, white glove, retail and other various industries. The primary responsibility of the position is to develop customers to increase utilization of the Companies terminal network including short-term storage, delivery from terminal to end user, sort and segregate and other opportunities where terminal services are required. The Sales Director-Terminals will join a team dedicated to and responsible for promoting and selling company services in accordance with sales policies and procedures, and in pursuit of key goals and objectives. Background Required: Outside Sales success in the transportation sector (with a carrier, shipper, or technology provider (5+ years) Proven outside sales success (10 years) Hunt & sign (prospect, meet, present, close, post-sale) of $5M-$8M annual contract value/revenue. Develop & maintain deep business relationships with VP & Dir. level executives at premier organizations. Understand carrier economics: revenues, gross margins, varying pricing structures, accessorial schedules. Comfortable & familiar with the transportation technology stack (TMS, EDI, Perf. Mgmt., CX), with a demonstrated ability to sell the value of visibility and accountability. Review weekly/monthly sales activities and prospective customers opportunities with management. Develop and execute customer specific strategies and plans. CRM (Sugar) and sales automation applications. Computer literate (Office Suite, Power Point, Word, Excel). Residence: Home Office – East Coast /Midwest preferred. Travel: up to 25%. Background Preferred (but not required): Education: Bachelor's Degree Sales. Recent experience with final mile delivery and a network of shipper contacts in the sector. Other Essential Abilities and Skills: Excellent communications (verbal & written) at all levels. Strong presentation and closing skills. Customer focus and responds proactively with a sense of urgency in fast paced environment. Strategic selling and Negotiation. Team player – Collaborative.
