As Mercury continually evolves our ways of working, we have four newly created Sales Coach roles available. As one of four coaches, you will coach and mentor our phone-based Sales Consultants while also rotating between our different teams and disciplines, giving you exposure across all areas of sales and the opportunity to develop deep expertise within these workstreams and build new relationships.

You will be assigned to a team of approximately 10-20 people, however this is not a team management role - instead you'll be focused on coaching and developing.
This role can be based in our Tauranga or Auckland offices. Our hybrid flexible work policy allows you to work from home while recognising the value of collaborating with colleagues in the office. This team will be office based approximately 2 days per week. 
Key responsibilities include: Coaches and mentors sales consultants in delegated expertise to optimise performance and skill Participate in 'Sales SME and Coaching Practice' to enrich sales methodology and selling frameworks Accountable for agent forecast contribution in delegated workstream We are looking for: Strong sales experience, preferably in a role phone based environment where you are able to leverage your extensive knowledge and sales experience to support the development of the sales methodology and its application across sales interactions Experience coaching or leading multi-channel teams an advantage with the ability to guide people towards achieving their full potential and driving sales success Awareness of Agile or Adaptive working frameworks an advantage Ability to display empathy, active listening skills, opening questioning and being non-judgmental and collaborative Clear communication skills - you have the ability to communicate complex matters in a simple way Skilled in facilitating diverse groups of people to achieve outcomes that enhance business performance and build capability Mercury offers (full benefits are listed on our Career Page): Additional 5 days leave per annum (MyDays)$400 one off tax-free payment towards setting up your home office A diverse workplace where your unique abilities and talents will be recognised and encouraged Annual salary reviews with excellent parental leave policy, with the option to purchase additional leave The opportunities, career paths and facilities associated with working for one of New Zealand's largest multi-utility providers Flexible working policy - The autonomy and trust to work flexibly from our purpose-built premises and from home, recognising the value of this flexibility in the modern world Discounted health insurance and free life and income insurance Excellent well-being programme including up to $100 annual check ups and confidential assistance programme Gender affirmation leave and supportive bereavement leave to be taken when you lose anyone close to you, including your pet Interview Questions: To help you be your best in our interviews, below are some key questions e intend to ask.
